How it works

Hand your paper script to the pharmacist at the dispensary counter, or send through your eScript token from your phone. We check it, dispense it, and talk you through anything you are not sure about. Most scripts are ready in a few minutes; if we need to order something in, it is usually here the next business day and we will call you the moment it lands.

If you would rather not wait at all, order ahead through MedAdvisor and pick up when it suits you. Regular customers on repeat medicines often leave their repeats with us so there is always one ready to go.

What to bring

  • Your paper script, or your eScript token (SMS or email)
  • Your Medicare card, and your concession or Safety Net card if you have one
  • The name of anything else you are taking, including supplements, as it helps us check for interactions

We dispense generics where you want them and stay with the brand where you do not. Either way you get told the difference in price before we hand it over.

Repeats, owings and Safety Net

We keep track of your repeats and your Safety Net threshold so you are not paying more than you have to across the year. If a medicine is out of stock nationally, and that happens more than it used to, we will chase alternatives with your prescriber rather than sending you away empty-handed.

Common questions

Prescriptions & Script Dispensing: questions we get asked

Can I send my eScript token to the pharmacy?

Yes. Forward the SMS or email token to us and we will have it dispensed and waiting. Bring your Medicare and concession cards if we have not seen you before.

How long does a script take?

Most scripts are dispensed in a few minutes. Compounded items or anything we need to order in take longer, and we will give you a realistic time, not an optimistic one.

Do you dispense generic medicines?

We will offer a generic where one exists and explain the price difference, but the choice is yours. If you prefer to stay on your usual brand, that is completely fine.

Can someone else collect my medicine?

Yes, a family member, carer or neighbour can collect on your behalf. For some medicines the pharmacist may need to speak with you first.

Do you deliver prescriptions in Annandale?

Yes, free local delivery within Annandale. Call us before midday where you can.
